Who can resist a good pancake with maple syrup? Not me, that’s for sure. 

But have you ever wondered why they don’t always turn out light and fluffy? Or maybe you’re on the eternal search for the perfect recipe?

The video below gives you all of the secrets to making the perfect pancakes.  It does go for 14 minutes, but there are some great chemistry tips that you will be able to apply to your cooking for years to come.  Seems like an investment to me……

And just in case you don’t want to watch the whole video, but still want the recipe:

In one large bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 3 teaspoons of baking powder and just less than 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of yoghurt, 2 eggs and 3 tablespoons of melted butter.
